Backend Engineer, Regulatory and Compliance Engineering

Stripe is seeking a Backend Engineer for their Regulatory and Compliance Engineering team, a critical unit responsible for maintaining Stripe's financial & regulatory compliance. The role involves working with Stripe's ledger system, which serves as the authoritative source for all money movement at Stripe. You'll be part of a team that handles tax calculations on Stripe fees and submits regulatory reports essential for global operations.

The position offers an opportunity to make direct business impact in crucial domains including Accounting, Finance & Strategy, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Treasury, and Business Operations. You'll be designing and building large-scale, low-latency services and data pipelines that handle financial data, while ensuring extremely high accuracy for transactions worth trillions of dollars.
