We're seeking a SOC Top/Debug Implementation Engineer to take ownership of the debug solution and design across all chiplets in our high-performance AI SOC. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize top-level debug strategies, ensuring seamless operation and post-silicon validation of the SOC.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning and driving the debug solution and architecture across all chiplets
  • Defining and implementing top-level debug and trace architectures
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on system-level debug features
  • Developing debug interfaces (JTAG, trace modules, debug controllers)
  • Optimizing debug infrastructure for performance and observability
  • Assisting in post-silicon debug efforts
  • Driving innovation in debug methodologies

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BS/MS/PhD in EE/ECE/CE/CS or related field with 5+ years of experience
  • Proven experience in SOC debug architecture design
  • Strong knowledge of JTAG, trace modules, and debug controllers
  • Experience working across multiple chiplets in large-scale SOCs
  • Deep understanding of hardware design, verification, and post-silicon validation
  • Familiarity with RTL design using Verilog/VHDL
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

This hybrid role is based out of Toronto (ON), Ottawa (ON), Boston (MA), or Austin (TX). Tenstorrent offers competitive compensation and benefits, with a range of $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets.

  • Support silicon bring-up, post-silicon validation, and manufacturing test efforts
