Responsibilities For Automation Control Engineers
- Program and debug structure text and ladder logic code on multiple PLC controller platforms
- Develop organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable code
- Use Python scripting and SQL to interface equipment with Tesla Manufacturing Execution System
- Create intuitive operator touchscreen interfaces
- Set up and tune servo drives and VFDs
- Design and implement control reliable safety systems
- Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, pneumatic and fluid plumbing
- Participate in equipment conceptual development
- Manage suppliers during specification, design, buyoff and installation
Requirements For Automation Control Engineers
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science or 5+ years' experience in Control Systems
- PLC experience (Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi or B&R preferred)
- Human Machine Interface experience
- Proficiency creating detailed electrical and fluid schematics in CAD
- Structured Text and Ladder Logic programming skills
