The position involves working with state-of-the-art finite element modeling and analysis tools to enhance vehicle safety performance across regulatory, consumer testing, and due care scenarios. Your responsibilities will span from building detailed FE models to conducting sophisticated crash simulations and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You'll work directly with structure, seating, and interior system design teams to optimize safety components and systems. Responsibilities For CAE Analysis Engineer, Crash Occupant & Pedestrian Safety

  • Build state-of-the-art finite element (FE) models of vehicle structures, interiors and restraints
  • Design and analyze restraint systems for various vehicle models
  • Develop and apply advanced crash safety FE methodologies
  • Work with structure, seating and interior system design teams
  • Perform advanced CAE simulations
  • Collaborate with Test Engineering teams
  • Perform detailed post-crash test analysis
  • Conduct optimization studies using DOE/DFSS techniques

Requirements For CAE Analysis Engineer, Crash Occupant & Pedestrian Safety

Python
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Biomechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of automotive crashworthiness legislation
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in problem solving
  • Experience with numerical and analytical methods
  • Experience with CAE tools (LS-Dyna, MADYMO, ADAMS, Abaqus)
  • Experience with test data analysis tools
  • Understanding of vehicle structure development for crashworthiness
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle crash tests preferred
