Engineering Program Manager, Seating

Tesla Motors is seeking an incredibly sharp, fast on their toes Engineering Program Manager to manage the product development of our next generation seating platforms, new products, and future seat programs. This role requires coordinating all aspects of a program regarding timing, quality, and cost. The Engineering Program Manager will maintain and adjust overall program schedules, help identify and resolve concerns regarding industrial design, engineering, product development, supplier selection and readiness, manufacturability, and testing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Tracking, reporting, and maintaining statuses of schedule, mass, and cost
• Coordinating multiple design iterations with CAE and Manufacturing teams
• Managing prototype development and builds
• Establishing and tracking physical design validation targets and test cases
• Defining and implementing program requirements from concept to mass production
• Working cross-functionally with various departments to establish new program cadence
• Collaborating with supplier project managers to align timelines and deliverables
• Driving business case studies and tooling tracking

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• 3 years of experience in automotive program management with successful model launches
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams
