Internship, Controls Engineer, Manufacturing (Summer 2025)

Tesla is offering an exciting Controls Engineering internship opportunity for Summer 2025, where interns will contribute to the design and development of automation equipment and assembly lines for advanced production facilities. This role is part of the team "building the machine that makes the machine" and offers exposure to various manufacturing departments including Automation Development, Vehicle Manufacturing, Paint Manufacturing, and Powertrain Manufacturing.

The internship provides hands-on experience in developing control systems for production equipment, working with industrial robots, PLC programming, and implementing safety systems. Interns will work under experienced Controls Engineers, applying Tesla's innovative controls program architecture to components such as logic controllers, machine interfaces, servo drives, and industrial robots.

This is an ideal opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science who have a strong foundation in control systems and programming.
