Tesla is offering an internship opportunity in Manufacturing Automation Controls Engineering for the Powertrain division, starting around January or February 2025 and continuing through the entire Spring term (i.e., through May 2025) or into Spring/Summer 2025 if available. This full-time, on-site internship requires a minimum commitment of 12 weeks.
The internship is based at the Giga Nevada location in Sparks, NV. As an intern, you'll work under the guidance of a controls engineer to design and implement machine program functionality on manufacturing lines that produce Tesla's key technological advantages: battery packs, drive units, and power electronics and energy products (Superchargers, Powerwalls, Megapacks).

Ideal candidates should be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field. They should have programming proficiency in PLC or industrial controllers, hands-on experience with electro-mechanical devices, and familiarity with common hand and diagnostic tools.
