Tesla is seeking an exceptional Mechanical Engineer to join their Vehicle Engineering team, focusing on the design of the SuperManifold/OctoValve assembly within Tesla's heat pump system. Responsibilities For Mechanical Design Engineer, Thermal HVAC, Semi

  • Mechanical design and packaging of thermal system components
  • Manage suppliers and projects to ensure timely program deliverables
  • Develop component and system level requirements
  • Lead creation of component specifications and technical design documents
  • Develop and execute component and subsystem design verification plans
  • Ensure vehicles conform to safety standards
  • Support vehicle programs through entire life cycle

Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, Thermal HVAC, Semi

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of full-time or internship experience preferred
  • Outstanding design, packaging and 3D modeling skills - CATIA preferred
  • Working knowledge of mechanics and structure design, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics
  • Working knowledge of automotive thermal systems preferred
  • Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes preferred
