Software Engineer, Infotainment Platforms Validation, Vehicle Software

Tesla's Software Platforms team is seeking a Software Engineer for Infotainment Platforms Validation in Vehicle Software. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of in-vehicle user experience systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating improvements and new features for infotainment systems across Tesla's vehicle lineup.

Key responsibilities include:

• Becoming an expert on core subsystems running on the Infotainment computer
• Writing and shipping software to vehicles and building automated systems for fleet data analysis
• Defining evaluation metrics and creating visualizations for system monitoring
• Building and maintaining HIL testers and internal tools
• Optimizing system performance and working cross-functionally to resolve issues

The ideal candidate should have:

• Strong proficiency in Python, C/C++, Golang, or Java
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and system administration
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and large-scale data processing
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with embedded systems and automotive communication standards (preferred)
