Tesla is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Tesla Bot team, focusing on designing the electrical "nervous system" of Tesla Robots. This role involves comprehensive hardware ownership, from initial specification to final validation of circuit boards that control motors, sensors, and various components essential for robot movement and environmental interaction. The position offers a competitive salary range of $112,000 - $228,000 annually, plus additional benefits and stock awards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in circuit board design, particularly with Altium, and demonstrate deep understanding of analog & digital circuits. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including PCB layout, firmware, mechanical, and validation teams, to bring innovative robotics solutions to life. The role requires exceptional organization and communication skills, along with the ability to tackle complex challenges using first-principles thinking.

Responsibilities For Sr. Electrical Engineer, Tesla Bot
- Start-to-finish hardware ownership: specification, architecture, design, simulation, schematic, layout supervision, manufacturing, bringup, and validation of circuit boards
- Collaborate with PCB layout, firmware, mechanical, program management, and validation teams
- Thoroughly document design requirements, calculations, validation results
- Rapidly iterate as design requirements and features mature over time
Requirements For Sr. Electrical Engineer, Tesla Bot
- Circuit board design (Altium preferred)
- Strong understanding of analog & digital circuits
- Exceptional organization and communication skills
- Ability to tackle open-ended challenges using first-principles
- Proficiency with lab equipment
- Experience shipping high-volume circuit boards is preferred
- Basic programming ability (Python preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
