This role focuses on vulnerability management across Tesla's global infrastructure, including both on-premises datacenter and public cloud environments. The position is crucial for protecting Tesla's advanced AI platforms and diverse technology stack.

The ideal candidate will lead vulnerability management initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and remediate security risks. Responsibilities For Sr. Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management

  • Lead vulnerability scanning and assessment activities across diverse technology environments
  • Perform root cause analysis of vulnerabilities and work with cross-functional teams
  • Track remediation efforts and ensure timely resolution of vulnerabilities
  • Build and operate DevSecOps tools to identify security vulnerabilities
  • Automate vulnerability scanning, assessment, and reporting processes
  • Perform malware assessment
  • Collaborate with Security Operations, Detection, and Incident Response teams
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security tools and solutions
  • Perform security reviews, threat modelling, and risk assessments

Requirements For Sr. Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience working in a security team with focus on vulnerability management
  • Good understanding of vulnerability scanning tools (Tenable, Crowdstrike, Prisma)
  • Strong understanding of Linux security, defense-in-depth principles, and security standards
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or Java)
  • Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools, including Splunk
