Description For Sr. Technical Program Manager, Cell Electrode

Tesla's Cell Manufacturing Engineering group is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead manufacturing engineering projects for their electrode production. This role combines technical expertise with project management, requiring coordination across multiple teams both within and outside Tesla. The position involves driving new manufacturing lines from conception to production, managing development line ramps, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Responsibilities For Sr. Technical Program Manager, Cell Electrode

  • Drive project from concept through handover to production as single point of contact
  • Define manufacturing program plans, outlining strategy, scope, schedule, resource requirements, and cost targets
  • Work with manufacturing engineering and cross-functional teams to drive the manufacturing program
  • Set goals, track deliverables, identify risk and drive mitigations
  • Create and maintain schedules for manufacturing engineering projects
  • Drive review, selection, budget and schedule of external equipment automation vendors
  • Work collaboratively with all engineering stakeholders

Requirements For Sr. Technical Program Manager, Cell Electrode

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product development or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience in management of engineering projects for mass-produced products
  • Ability to comprehend complex problems and break them down
  • Experience with JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Wrike
  • Availability for travel domestic/international as required
  • Knowledge of Battery Cell technology a plus
