Responsibilities For Sr. Technical Quality Engineer, Cell Global Quality

  • Implement technical definition for global Tesla 4680 Cell Manufacturing in Austin Gigafactory
  • Be a critical technical interface between design, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, and factory
  • Work with factory teams to drive/implement solutions on the manufacturing floor
  • Work with quality systems teams to ensure adoption of best practices
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments at product and manufacturing level
  • Interface with reliability engineering teams
  • Lead problem solving efforts when necessary

Requirements For Sr. Technical Quality Engineer, Cell Global Quality

  • 10+ years of experience in lithium-ion cells
  • Degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in cell design, electrode, cell assembly, formation and aging, cell testing, or failure analysis
