The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of relevant circuit board design experience, with deep expertise in HDI PCB design using fine pitch BGA and multilayer PCB boards. Proficiency in Cadence Allegro and experience with high-speed interface layout design rules are essential. You'll be working in Tesla's Palo Alto location, contributing to the development of next-generation vehicle systems and Tesla's Super Computer AI.

This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $124,000 to $216,000 annually, plus cash and stock awards. Responsibilities For Staff PCB Design Engineer, Electronic Systems

  • Implement high speed PCB layout with effective design practices for complex multilayer HDI PCB
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met
  • Provide feedback and solutions for hardware, SI/PI, mechanical, thermal and manufacturing issues
  • Optimize PCB design to minimize DFM/DFT issues
  • Generate documentation for PCB fabrications and assembly

Requirements For Staff PCB Design Engineer, Electronic Systems

  • 5+ years of relevant circuit board design experience
  • Proficiency in HDI PCB design using fine pitch BGA with multilayer PCB boards
  • Proficiency in Cadence Allegro
  • Experience with high-speed interface layout design rules (DRAM, CSI, PCIe)
  • Experience with power supply and switching regulators layout
  • Knowledge of PCB materials and board stackup development
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Experience with IPC standards and practices
  • Excellent communication skills
