Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer, Backend, Factory Software
- Consistently produce high-quality maintainable code that solves real-world problems
- Lead projects from requirements to production
- Mentor other engineers and maintain excellent craftsmanship standards
- Solve problems across stack layers including PLC communication and distributed databases
- Participate in architecture design and troubleshooting of live applications
- Build production-critical software systems with validation and monitoring
- Set up and maintain monitoring, metrics & reporting systems
- Interface with multi-disciplinary teams
- Take on-call shifts (once every two months)
Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Backend, Factory Software
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of working experience (preferred 6+ years)
- Experience implementing large-scale projects in Go, Java, C++, Rust, or similar
- Understanding of backend development (SQL databases, networking, security)
- Experience with container-based workloads and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks
- Proficiency in software development practices (version control, CI/CD, monitoring)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and technical leadership
