Responsibilities For Spacecraft Autonomy Systems Engineer

  • Support Avionics subsystem in algorithm development and fault scenarios
  • System requirements definition, flowdown, and verification
  • Spacecraft Autonomy Design (Fault Detection/Response, Mode architecture)
  • Perform Fault Analysis
  • Support Fault Contingency Modeling
  • Work with Guidance, Navigation, Control teams
  • Develop mission analysis and scenarios
  • Support System Design Reviews
  • Support Flight Software Qualification and Test Case Development
  • Define and document mission parameters

Requirements For Spacecraft Autonomy Systems Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years related work experience in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry
  • Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Experience in C++, MATLAB, Python, and VBA
  • Experience with GNC sensors using MIL-STD-1553, SpaceWire, CAN, LVDS or Ethernet interfaces
