Uber is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join their Global Tech Support team. The ideal candidate will partner with Platform engineering teams to provide top-tier tech support aligned with product strategies and priorities.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a team of tech support engineers, ensuring satisfactory responses to queries across all supported platforms. You'll implement governance frameworks, build tech solutions, and work closely with engineering teams to understand their priorities. Your expertise in data analytics and visualization will be crucial in drawing insights on charter performance and supported products.

The role requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in managing cross-functional global projects, along with hands-on skills in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau. You should have a strong background in process design, program management, and customer support strategies. The ability to adapt to fast-changing environments and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Engineering

  • Lead one of the key programs in the Global Tech Support team
  • Partner with Platform engineering teams to provide best-in-class tech support
  • Drive Tech initiatives to bring in operational and tech efficiencies
  • Facilitate and drive high-impact initiatives to improve process quality and customer experience
  • Manage timelines, deadlines, feature sets, risks, change requests, releases, and track project budget
  • Establish best practices across similar work streams
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to understand their priorities
  • Lead a team of tech support engineers
  • Program Manage the support charter
  • Build Tech tools/solutions to improve operational efficiency
  • Work with vendor provided engineers to provide tech support

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Engineering

Python
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, business or another technical field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing cross-functional global projects
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with process design and optimization, program management, customer support strategies, and quality assurance
  • Ability to adapt to ambiguous & fast-changing environments
  • Self-motivated with strong affinity for vision setting and strategic problem solving
  • Willingness to explore and learn new technologies and hybrid processes
