Unimacts, a global leader in contract manufacturing and supply chain management for renewable energy sectors, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for their Las Vegas Operations. This 6-month contract position offers an exciting opportunity to join a company at the forefront of the solar and wind industries. The role combines hands-on engineering with strategic process development in their Sloan, NV plant.

The position demands a skilled professional who can lead process development, implement new manufacturing processes, and drive continuous improvement through Kaizen events and workshops. The ideal candidate will manage capital investment projects, oversee new product introductions, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities For Manufacturing Engineer - Contract

  • Lead process development programs on existing manufacturing equipment
  • Drive implementation of new processes for product portfolio expansion
  • Lead Kaizen events and improvement workshops
  • Oversee capital investment projects
  • Lead new product programs using APQP processes
  • Facilitate new product introduction through PPAP
  • Implement engineering changes
  • Calculate cost estimates for new product introductions
  • Champion metrics-driven continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create technical drawings and schematics
  • Coordinate equipment installation and start-up

Requirements For Manufacturing Engineer - Contract

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or sourcing of engineered mechanical components
  • 3+ years in engineering roll forming processes
  • Proficient in Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Strong understanding of drawings, bill-of-materials, and GD&T
  • Experience with process control and quality tools (SPC, GD&T gauge, R&R)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of industry standards (ASTM, AWS, EN, ISO)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Teams, and basic CAD
  • Understanding of manufacturing costs
  • Strong understanding of Takt Time / Cycle time
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Strong experience with OEE
