Prompt Engineer

Vectra AI, the leader in AI-driven threat detection and response for hybrid and multi-cloud enterprises, is seeking a Prompt Engineer to join their Office of the CTO's Emerging Technologies team. This role will focus on ongoing research initiatives and prototypes centrally leveraging large language models (LLMs).

The ideal candidate will collaborate on challenging early-stage research and development while also working independently in their specialized area. They must be comfortable with the ambiguity of open-ended research while maintaining a strong bias to converge that research into concrete and supportable specifications and implementations.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Architecting and maintaining infrastructure for multi-agent LLM-based AI Assistants
2. Collaborating with various teams to prototype AI assistants and automation
3. Developing, testing, and deploying ML models and AI algorithms, focusing on LLMs
4. Optimizing models for performance, scalability, and reliability
5. Designing and implementing data pipelines for AI/ML projects
6. Educating the engineering organization on AI/LLM infrastructure

Qualifications include extensive experience with Python and ML frameworks, expertise in working with LLMs, experience with cloud platforms, and the ability to understand and implement novel ML methods from academic literature.
