Full-stack Developer Java/React

Veepee, a leading European digital commerce conglomerate, is seeking a Full-Stack Developer skilled in Java and React for their WePlan project. This strategic supply chain planning product is crucial for orchestrating the company's future operations, synchronizing logistics capabilities with demand forecasts calculated using advanced machine learning algorithms.

The role involves performing complex calculations on the back end while presenting them through intuitive user interfaces. The ideal candidate should adhere to the team's K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid) philosophy, as clear graphical representation of complex calculations is vital for the product's success.

WePlan features an event-driven architecture, constantly refreshing data for fast, accurate decision-making. This presents a challenge, requiring understanding and connecting with the entire range of the company's processes and products, including legacy systems and target solutions.

The ideal candidate should be proactive, able to manage frustration in a complex system with high dependencies, balance technical debt, and accept change as the norm. The development team works closely with users, providing relentless support and thorough testing before releases.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing the Supply Chain Planning tool using best standards and technologies
• Estimating development tasks and identifying risks
• Performing code reviews and sharing best practices
• Designing and implementing features using TDD and clean coding for cloud-ready applications
• Active participation in an agile organization

The role offers the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively, writing code, designing architecture, building all aspects of the platform, working with APIs, managing infrastructure, and guiding other developers.
