Description For Lead Manufacturing Process Engineer

VEIR is developing a new generation of High Temperature Superconductor (HTS)-based transmission lines, enabling long distance, reliable, low loss, cost–effective power transfer in far smaller right–of–ways. VEIR's innovations overcome the main barriers to transmission expansion, enabling the world to access the very lowest cost renewable power.

As a Lead Manufacturing Process Engineer at VEIR, you'll join the Manufacturing team responsible for optimizing and developing manufacturing processes for our cable production line. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Process Design & Improvement: Lead the design and optimization of manufacturing processes for cable production to ensure high-quality and efficient output.
  2. Quality & Compliance: Develop and implement quality standards and testing protocols to meet regulatory and company requirements.
  3. Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering team and engineering technicians, to troubleshoot issues and refine processes for maximum productivity.
  4. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of process flows, troubleshooting steps, and improvements, sharing insights with stakeholders to foster continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years in manufacturing process engineering, ideally with hands-on cable manufacturing experience.
  • Expertise in manufacturing process engineering with a strong focus on cable production.
  • Proven ability to analyze production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality standards and a meticulous approach to documentation and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • A problem-solving approach with curiosity, resilience, and a results-oriented mindset.
