Responsibilities For Principal Infrastructure Software Engineer
- Develop, drive, execute, and lead long-term vision and strategy for Via's infrastructure and tooling
- Create scalable, reliable, and efficient systems
- Engage in hands-on coding and development in production environments
- Participate in day-to-day production operations
- Work closely with various development teams
- Work across broad spectrum of technological disciplines
Requirements For Principal Infrastructure Software Engineer
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in backend and infrastructure development
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Python, Go, Rust, Java, C, C#, or C++
- Experience in large-scale production microservices environments and devops operations
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- At least 2 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts
