Description For IT Support Engineer

Vortexa, a pioneering technology company in the energy sector, is seeking their first IT Support Engineer to join their growing IT Team. As the IT Support Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in supporting a global team, managing both the operational and technical aspects of IT infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a scale-up environment where you'll handle everything from first-line support to leading IT onboarding processes for new team members.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in both MacOS and Windows environments, experience with helpdesk software like Jira Service Management, and proficiency in supporting Google Workspace & Office365. You'll need to be self-motivated, analytical, and excellent at building relationships across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities For IT Support Engineer

  • Provide 1st line support for a global team
  • Lead IT onboarding of new joiners
  • Work with IT Manager and senior management on projects and upgrades
  • Manage hardware and software assets
  • Support system maintenance and troubleshooting

Requirements For IT Support Engineer

  • Delivery orientated and self-motivated, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to build relationships and communicate well at all levels
  • Extensive knowledge in supporting MacOS & Windows devices
  • Experience with helpdesk software such as Jira Service Management
  • Comfortable supporting Google Workspace & Office365
  • Ability to handle onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintain and update software and hardware asset registers
  • Diagnose hardware issues and liaison with vendors
  • Experience in managing 3rd party suppliers and vendors
  • Monitor and report on progress against objectives
