Senior DevOps Engineer

Wonder is a pioneering food-tech startup revolutionizing the way people eat by creating a new category of dining called "Fast-Fine". We offer menus from award-winning chefs and iconic restaurants across the country, all in one place. Our vertically integrated system includes brick + mortar locations for pick up and dine-in options, as well as delivery to your home.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Wonder, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing a tech platform that accelerates application engineers' productivity and operational excellence. You'll work on tooling and automation that supports every area of our business, from the production of tens of thousands of meals daily to delivery to our customers.

Your role will involve walking the tightrope between ensuring correctness and operational excellence while taking calculated risks. You'll be a positive influence on the team, leading discussions on system design, operations, implementation, code quality, testing, and deployment. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing a platform to support distributed systems
• Working with various databases (MySQL, Postgres, Cosmos DB, MongoDB)
• Developing in and deploying containers to production
• Working with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Mentoring junior engineers
• Implementing high-quality systems
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues

We're looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language
• Experience with Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems
• A passion for clean, well-documented code and operational excellence
• Strong opinions on CI/CD and how application teams work within the platform
