Site Reliability Engineer

Xero, a leading business automation platform, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their Product SRE team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with world-class engineers in ensuring system reliability and implementing best practices across product teams. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving enduring reliability, world-class observability, and high-performing services.

The position requires a highly technical individual with extensive SRE experience and a passion for enabling high-performing products. You'll be working in a hybrid environment across multiple US locations (San Mateo, Seattle, or Denver), contributing to the Product SRE strategic objectives and the ongoing transformation of Xero's SRE culture.

Your role will involve technical leadership in reliability, observability, operability, and performance optimization. You'll build strong relationships with product engineering teams, champion an "automation first" approach, and implement error budget cultures with SLA/SLO management. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $150,000 to $185,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including generous paid leave, healthcare coverage, 401k matching, and 26 weeks of paid parental leave.
