Description For Application Engineer, Tube Bending

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) is seeking an experienced Application Engineer specializing in Tube Bending to join their team. This role involves customer quoting, supplier sourcing, and project management, with a focus on being the subject matter expert in tube bending and fabrication. The ideal candidate should have strong competencies in CAD, design for manufacturability, costing, technical communication, and hydraulic tubing.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide cost estimates for manually quoted tube bending, tube cutting, and metal fabrication products
  • Assist in identifying and developing partner networks
  • Offer pricing recommendations based on previous win rates
  • Understand partner capabilities and guide the sales team on opportunity types
  • Collaborate with the auto quote team to implement new capabilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (highly preferred)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with tube bending, cutting, and fabrication
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs
