Senior Software Engineer - React + Node

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) is seeking a senior-level full stack software engineer to join their software engineering organization. This 1-year contract position involves working on evolving their instant-quote product and the technology platform behind it. The ideal candidate will be part of a small, skilled team with a sense of ownership and a passion for learning and coding.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, and release software
• Work with HTML, Typescript/Javascript/React, Node, and GraphQL
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers
• Handle operational responsibilities for team-owned services, including AWS and Kubernetes deployments
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Contribute to an environment supporting individual growth

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced technical environment as a software developer
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and DOM web programming
• Demonstrated experience with React, Node, and GraphQL
• Knowledge of build and testing technologies (Git/Github actions, GitLab preferred)
• Experience with software engineering principles related to security, scalability, asynchronous programming, and transactions
• Understanding of service-oriented architectures (preferred)
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (preferred)
• Attention to detail, strong work ethic, multitasking abilities, and good communication skills
