Compensation is good, but at a price: the long hours. Eventually, you might not earn as much if you divide by the number of hours, and you can expect a 60-hour week.
The hours are long, the velocity is insane, and your manager is pressured to deliver in time or ahead of schedule, which means you get pressured to as well.
I don’t think it’s normal if everyone in the company is working overtime all the time and people are hesitant to take annual leave even though it’s unlimited.
I wouldn’t recommend this place for the culture and if you want to start a family or want to learn or just have a life.
Additionally, employees who have been there long enough and are accustomed to the culture may find it easier to get promoted, but may not have the leadership or empathy or professionalism compared to other individuals at similar ranks in other companies.
Show some care to your employees beyond just compensation.
Interviewed by two developers who were more junior than I was. Overall, I did well on the interview but got tripped up on syntax. I feel like, as junior developers, they evaluated me on my knowledge of Python syntax as opposed to actual coding abilit
I applied through a recruiter. I was reached by a recruiter and was interested to see since they call themselves abnormal (should have been the first red flag in hindsight; D). Was scheduled for a recruiter screen, pretty normal stuff with expectati
Practical problems that were different than your typical LeetCode-style questions. They let you look stuff up and use AI if you need it. Interview consisted of: * Phone screen * Full loop with hiring manager * System design * Past project review
