Process
Applied online. About two weeks later, I received an online exam link. The online exam was very long, and the problems were pretty tough. A week later, I received an email stating that I passed the online exam and scheduled a technical phone interview.
Questions
The interviewer almost didn't ask me anything technical. They asked a few background questions and informed me that they needed someone for a more senior level position. Actually, their job announcement did not require a senior level, but they stated so and ended the interview.

Atlassian Work Experiences
- 3.0Great place to work, but a bit too much secrecy and politicsJava Developer • Former EmployeeSydney, AustraliaDecember 19, 2012Pros: - Exciting products. - Very smart people to work with. - Given independence in the tools that I can work with. - So many perks like food and beer. - So many social activities, like Melbourne Cup and EOFY parties.Cons: - You can get left behind by everyone if you don't blog regularly. No one will notice you're there. - They claim that they're an open company, but there are so many secrets. Some people are kept in the dark about things they want to know. - Management isn't interested in career development. It's very hard to move to another position that you're more interested in. They'd rather hire new people.
- 4.0Good Balance, Dated TechJava Developer • Current EmployeeSydney, New South Wales, AustraliaSeptember 11, 2015Pros: Good work-life balance, some interesting projects and technologies, but that depends on each team. Good internal trainings to grow as a professional.Cons: Some very old technologies and legacy code. Nothing cutting edge. Old architects are reluctant to change some things. Development infrastructure is quite messy.
