Process

Received a call for an online application as well as through the college career website. Both involved 2:1 interviews.

Interview 1:

Included a couple of behavioral questions:

  • What would you bring to the table?
  • Why Bloomberg LP?
  • How are you interested, being from a non-CSE background?

Technical questions:

  1. Linear search. Then asked for a better technique. Asked to write code for binary search.
  2. Given a cube, find the number of cubes on the edges. (e.g., for a 3x3 cube = 20). This required a mathematical formula.
  3. Don't remember the third question.

Interview 2:

Technical questions:

  1. Find and print a given substring in a given string.
  2. Traverse a spirally decreasing path through a 2D matrix.

These interviews were for the NY positions.
