Interesting technology you are developing. There are a lot of fascinating aircraft/spacecraft under development. If you are looking to work on something that is really cool, you can't find a better place.
Outdated tools to work with. It doesn't keep up with industry standards for software developers. They are not adverse to spending money on tools; it is just that the tools people are using are so entrenched that they would rather spend thousands of dollars to upgrade to the next version of FORTRAN rather than move to something like C. Also, we have lots of tools that we've developed in-house, which aren't as good as things available commercially. Guess which ones are better.
Focus on the long-term, not quarter to quarter.
