It is mostly fully remote work. There are a lot of smart people at Calendly.
There is no real vision or leadership.
Execution is fast, but executive leadership takes forever to make the decisions required to actually get new features in front of customers.
There is limited career growth.
There is a constant reduction of benefits.
You can't ask everyone else to move fast when you are the bottleneck.
- Intro call with recruiter - Take-home assignment (basic API design and development) - Culture fit interview, non-technical - Bug fix interview with a real production bug - System design interview (basic design of a notification system) - Take-home
Calendly will let you know the full process, but for me it was: 1. Recruiter call 2. Chat with a skip-level manager 3. Live-code challenge with an eng manager 4. Small take-home project 5. Full panel day, including 2 behavioral/culture fit interview
Fairly typical interview structure. People were fantastic and enthusiastic, and really made me feel like they wanted me working there (not just a warm body like some other companies).
