Pros: I learned a lot after college. It wasn't too cutthroat.
Cons: - Horrible culture.
- Below par pay.
- Leadership has no idea what's going on and tries to micromanage everything, so it's impossible to get anything done.
- Asinine obsession with meaningless metrics.
- Unfair performance management process. Terrible engineers are promoted because they play the political game, while talented engineers focused on actually making an impact instead of wasting time in meetings stagnate and eventually leave.

Pros: - Excellent pay and benefits.
- Seems to have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- There are good teams doing interesting/engaging work. There are also teams where you can just coast with minimum effort.
- It is generally easy to move around if you're not happy with where you are.
Cons: - There are some bad teams/managers that don't care about your career or happiness and may abuse the rating structure to keep you from leaving their team.
- Similarly, work/life balance can be hit or miss depending on team/department.
- Can feel fast-paced/competitive at times.
- Very political organization; teams get re-purposed at the slightest whim of some higher-level manager.
- "The best way to get promoted is to leave for a competitor and come back" is common knowledge.
