It's a big company, so it all depends on which team you are in. It can be a great company that is trying to be a great employer, but it can also be painful. There are many layers of management, below-inflation salary increases, even for high performers, and it's difficult to get a promotion unless you leave and come back. Innovation is non-existent. Cisco prefers to acquire companies but then inevitably kills them trying to integrate them into Cisco.
Innovate within rather than just acquiring and ending up with a technology patchwork quilt.

Stop attrition by looking after the people you have.
