Phone interview, 2 rounds:

- One round for coding.

Pros: Pay is high, some good apples among the sea of bad ones.
Cons: These guys will exploit you like crazy. Not just during working hours, but also if you don't make them happy, they'll find every corner of your contract to cut you out.
The culture is representative of this huffing and puffing, grudge-holding attitude. If you're coming from tech, you won't like it here unless you're a senior executive who wants to do the huffing and puffing.

Pros: Compensation and benefits were really good during Covid, treating employees well. Company events are of really high quality, which is something people take for granted. Work can be interesting depending on the team. Most employees are pretty motivated about their work and are very competent.
Cons: It takes a certain type of person to work here. You will have to pull longer hours, but there's reward accordingly for this.
Some groups encounter unsavory politics. Team culture is super dependent on the manager.

Pros: Free breakfast, lunch, snacks, and soda.
Some smart colleagues.
Cons: There's no career growth unless you luck out and are taken under the wing of a manager who is currently doing well with the CEO. There's no lateral movement either.
Most projects are about fighting fires. Long-term proactive projects do not get the time of day.
Everything is siloed, with sharing of knowledge on a need-to-know basis.
Some managers play favoritism, and so it can get political.
