Clio's engineering organization is mature, competent, and transparent. A top-tier Ruby shop and a great place to learn. I absolutely recommend Clio as a place to work for engineers.
Lawyaw, one of Clio's recent acquisitions, is a disaster. Non-existent technical direction, ridiculous big bets destined for failure, egregiously toxic culture. No engineer has any chance to succeed here. Stay away until Clio steps in and does the necessary restructuring.
Lawyaw needs intervention.
The process was standard. There was one interview with HR, followed by a technical interview. I found a little trick, as they need to see whatever you are doing, and there is no option other than checking Stack Overflow. In the architecture intervie
They have multiple ghost positions. Don't waste your time going through the loop or waiting if you have other offers. Recruiter screen -> Technical Interview over Zoom (share screen) Was able to ace both interviews, with good feedback from intervie
I applied a couple of times before and always received an automatic rejection. But then one day, Clio's talent sourcer found me and proposed an interview. I spoke with their recruiter, and everything was going well: a nice description of the company
