The interview process consisted of an HR phone screening, followed by an interview with the hiring manager.
The HR interview went smoothly. They did a good job explaining the company culture and job description. There were also some behavioral questions they needed to address.
On the other hand, the interview with the hiring manager was soulless. As soon as I joined the call, we jumped straight into behavioral questions they were reading off of a list. There was no follow-up or apparent interest in any of the answers I provided.
After an abrupt end to the behavioral questions, we had about 30 minutes left for a medium LeetCode-style question. The hiring manager was not very helpful when I was stuck on parts of the question, and it was just an awkward time in general. The interview ended abruptly as the hiring manager stated they had a hard cut-off time.
Overall, it seemed they showed little to no interest in me from the start, so I'm not sure why they proceeded with the interview.
