Forced outsourcing, little technical innovation, increasing politics and uncertainty in team structures, and frequent re-orgs without giving sufficient time to teams to deliver.

More and more managers are less and less technical. Expedia used to be a "technology" company which used to make money in the travel business. Now it is a "travel" company – no longer a technology company. This basically means that there is no technical innovation.

Poor communication, like the move to Bellevue downtown with insufficient parking for employees.

There seems to be very little focus on "Technical innovation." We need to think of that in terms of 3-5 years ahead and being a tech leader. Current focus is on neither of these things.
