It began with a two-hour Codility programming exercise, featuring two questions that were fun and unique to solve. They tested various areas, such as the ability to use different data structures, and also gauged intuitiveness in tackling given problems. I had a lot of fun solving these.
After this, you're invited to a technical video interview with one of their employees. You'll go through various questions, starting with the basics of Java and then moving on to SQL, databases, and even some questions about your final year project. At the end, you get to solve another technical problem, similar to those shown during Codility, working on an online collaborative editor.
Following this stage, you'll be invited for a three-hour on-site interview. You'll meet the people who work there and get a tour of their offices. The interview consists of three parts: technical, cultural, and one with a hiring manager.
The technical interview will be similar to the online video interview, and you'll solve problems on a whiteboard. This part is more collaborative, as you'll work with your interviewer to solve the problems.
The cultural and hiring manager interviews are very similar. They'll discuss the company, the roles, and also talk about you, your CV, your plans and ambitions, and why you want to work at Guidewire. They'll assess your ability to work with customers and colleagues.
Be prepared for questions that assess your 'closeness' to their three core values and make sure you present yourself as someone who adheres to those values.
The interviewers are really nice people; it's like talking to a friend and solving issues together. Don't be nervous.
I received a job offer from another company, so I had to withdraw my application before I could get a response.
