Process

Please spend some time to read this, because you can save a lot of time by not making the same mistake I did! I have never met such an unserious company.

I lost a couple of months during this recruitment process, which consisted of nine steps. I received good reviews after each step, but without any details. The steps were demanding and difficult.

After the last step, three days later, I received a call from Dublin with good news: they would like to hire me. However, the HR representative on the phone was rude, stating that I was worse than some members of the team and better than others, and that I should know it. Who acts like that in a professional company?!

A couple of days later, I had a meeting with two Guidewire employees: a manager from Poland and the same person from Dublin. The meeting began with the proposal of a much lower position and a much lower payment – 25% less.

I said that I would not sign the contract, but suddenly they stated that they might give me this position but needed time to think about it. For me, this felt like a scam. You have an offer and receive no negative feedback throughout the entire process, and then they present you with this completely bad offer, hoping you will still sign the contract.

After the next few days, I received information from the headhunter, not from Guidewire. The reason given was: "He was too emotional, and we decided not to give him an offer."

I think after spending a couple of months and receiving completely different numbers, who wouldn't be emotional? What arguments are those from a company that claims to be professional?

I do not recommend Guidewire. I would not believe anything that the company offers.
