Process

I applied for the position online through IBM's career portal and received a phone call to set up a phone interview.

The interviewer focused mainly on my prior work experience and what sort of work/projects I had done in my comp sci program.

Overall, the interview was very easy. The interviewer mostly asked me about my work experience and projects I did in my studies, but also a few technical questions regarding OOP.

The interview was around 45 minutes.

Questions

Standard interview. Went through my resume and asked very typical questions:

  • "Tell me about yourself."
  • "What would you do if..."
  • "Why do you want to work here?"

There were also a couple of technical questions:

  • What are the advantages of object-oriented programming?
  • Why would you use an interface over an abstract class?

Was this helpful?
