The interview process at IBM was very straightforward.
A couple of rounds involved simple "standard" interview questions.
I was asked a few behavioral questions, and then eventually, some technical questions with members of the technical team. The technical questions were standard Java questions, so again, this was fairly straightforward.

Pros: - Good pay
- Good benefits
- Nice office
- Flexible regarding working from home and time-off
- Access to a lot of resources and opportunities to learn new technologies and skills
- Great work culture if you end up on the right team
- The work is challenging and relevant
- Plentiful career opportunities, and in my experience, managers were very supportive when team members wanted to change work assignments to try something new
Cons: - Work culture can vary significantly between teams, sometimes for the worse.
- It often feels like upper management makes decisions based strictly on their bottom line rather than what is best for their teams.
- As a developer, you will likely have on-call duties, which are never fun.
- You may get laid off.

Pros: Good benefits, competitive pay, flexibility in hours (depending on manager), and the ability to work from home.
The company has an international presence, so you'll get to work with people literally all over the world.
Depending on the position, you'll have opportunities for travel.
Cons: There is a lot of talk about work-life balance, but that's not really the culture. While there is often some recognition for hard work/insane hours, it rarely pays off financially. Also, raises and bonuses have dried up, despite the company's good performance. In most departments, many positions are backfilled to places like China and India. This makes people nervous. Most of the products are not exactly that interesting to work on, but there are some cool things happening.
