Pros: The company has a huge number of fingers in lots and lots of different pies, and there is the potential to move around within the company to avoid stagnation.
Cons: Reality never lives up to promises. Continual trimming of resources to make projects more efficient means frequent unpaid overtime is required and eliminates the possibility of doing more interesting work in favor of maintenance cycles and, at best, minor incremental improvements.
Worst of all, even where there is scope for improving efficiency to help mitigate these problems in later cycles, there's no time available to implement it.

Pros: As I worked with IBM for more than three years, it was a great period of my life where I gained and developed BI & DWH concepts from my seniors. IBM has a great environment to work and build a career.
Cons: I personally did not find any downsides in this organization.
