Reasonable pay. Friendly people. Lots of good technical talent. Flexible on time (depending on where you work). Snacks and free drinks. Can be interesting work and opportunities.
Always cutting and shrinking (revenues declining for years, despite the "latest" plan from highly-paid executives).
Lack of appreciation for technical talent, and inability to use it properly.
US-centric view (I'm in Canada), i.e., US locations get more options and "our way is best" kind of thinking.
Strangely incompetent when choosing upper-level managers, resulting sometimes in idiots running the show.
Your company is well endowed with highly competent technical people. Try using them properly instead of cutting them to save money. Also, remember that those with many years of experience are actually good at their jobs.
Interviews are normally very formal. Interview panels at IBM are technically very strong. I have been working with IBM for 12 years, so I can't speak much about the current interview process.
The interview process typically involves initial screening, followed by multiple rounds of interviews with various stakeholders, assessments, and possibly a final interview or presentation before a decision is made.
