Inclusivity.
My autism was not an issue; it actually helps in my job. IBM understands the value that all types of people bring to the organization. The different perspectives from which people view the world are all valuable to IBM.
I really feel that what I say and do will be listened to, and that my views are relevant. Collaboration and peer reviews are very important here. We all learn from it and become better people.
I am currently a virtual IBMer due to COVID-19 and all of us working from home. The 'onboarding' process into IBM went very smoothly. The use of video, screen-sharing, and other collaborative tools has delivered training, mentoring, and social meetings. IBM has exploited these on-line collaborations to the full.
I have not been into my lab nor met my team in person. Not IBM's fault, but COVID-19.
Everything here is better than I could have hoped for. Well done, IBM.
Keep doing what you are doing. This autistic, blunt, and innocent person is being allowed to grow and reach their potential.
Asked various theoretical questions, mostly focusing on things to do with data. Asked questions about efficiency and how you would ensure it, as well as asking what experience I had with testing.
Only live interviews (2021) were part of an assessment centre, which included group and individual activities. The interviewers were very easy to get along with, and the process was smooth with very prompt feedback.
The process was not good and not smooth. The interviewer didn't seem interested at all. Mostly HR questions were asked.
