You'll see people in the top management at IBM who have been with the company for more than 20 years, and they will brag about it or give you some motivational speech when you first join IBM. It's no longer applicable. 20 years ago, the job market was different. IBM valued its employees; they no longer do.
You cannot stay at IBM for 20 years and you cannot progress your career here. As soon as you progress to Band 8, 9, or higher, you will become a target to save costs. This company does not produce talent anymore; they just want your soul.
Start valuing your employees instead of treating them like workaholic machines.
