Pros: Only good for CV showcase

Cons: The team mostly consists of Indian people who are full-time employees and treat contractors like disposable people. I saw around 4 to 5 layoffs in less than 2 months. Would not recommend.

Pros: Good work-life balance, lots of office perks. I always had great managers and mentors.

Cons: Leadership seems unorganized and desperate. There are lots of reorganizations, and the company is pushing big projects that are not well thought out or executed, which end up failing. Company values have shifted to a more conservative corporate ideology.

Pros: Pay, RSUs, WLB, People, Culture

Cons: I joined during a hyper-growth phase, and unfortunately, all these phases have done is water down the culture and introduce bad practices. What was once an agile, fast-moving company has turned into a behemoth without much direction. The influx of additional people during 2018 and 2021 brought their bad practices from other organizations. Without strong leadership at Indeed, this has given these people free rein to run amok inside of Indeed, inflating their own titles and performing kingdom building. Indeed's culture was too nice, and SLT wouldn't put their foot down and address the problem. Instead, they gave toxic people blank checks to go on hiring sprees, duplicating efforts and teams in the process. Some parts of the company are extremely slow-moving. I'm talking 1+ month to add a button to a UI. It's laughable it takes that long, but I'm not joking. Indeed had a competitive edge at one point; they squandered that lead, and now other startups are coming to eat their lunch. I give Indeed 5-10 years before they go the way of Monster.com.
