Cons

Growth depends on relationships and not merit. Hike based on relationship and not merit. You are told to get visibility by shouting out loud, no matter how productive you are. Politics with respect to work allocation. Old employees are skeptical of new talent; they may try to bring you down. Some managers don't know how to behave themselves. Formation of groups among older employees creates a toxic and political environment. "Great place to work" is just a theory, not a reality.

Advice to Management

Show the doors to middle-level managers selectively, based on feedback from their teams.

Cultivate transparency within the team.
