Pros: Flexible work day Respect of work/life balance Colleagues who are super nice and the ambiance is too The work equipments and benefits are worth it Free access to every new Microsoft and Activision game released The work events that are usually well organised and fun Free in-office snacks The pay which is reasonable

Cons: Since the Microsoft acquisition, benefits are being gradually stripped away from the employees. Seems to be allergic to releasing new games. A lot of meetings. Gross booking is the only cared-about metric, which makes sense, but it is supposed to be an entertainment company, so maybe how much the players like the game should be thought of too. "Make the world playful" is cringe from the inside.

Pros: The King offices are amazing, focused on decoration to inspire creativity. It has a strong social culture where fun and friendly are key values. It welcomes and strives for diversity in ethnicity, gender, and sexuality. It has a very democratic nature in choosing teams, projects, features, and solutions where each member of the team can and must contribute to the whole.

Cons: Overall, the company does not seem to have a bright future. The company vision and goals are well explained and well chosen, but the plans to reach them do not sound feasible. Strives for innovation, but everyone is working "business as usual". A somewhat poor communication between departments, competing projects, adversity to change, and fear of breaking changes. A continuous shifting in departments structure without addressing the fundamentals. It relies heavily on the Candy franchise, and it looks impossible to break this dependency.

Pros: Salary is ok for a game company, and there are nice people for the most part.

Cons: The company has always had its problems: ancient tech, too focused on incremental changes and micro optimizations, incapable of taking any sort of risk, and fuzzy promotion requirements. In spite of this, it was a nice place to work because of its benefits. After the recent Microsoft acquisition, the company has started declining quite steeply: - Layoffs - Cancellation of highly anticipated planned events - Budget cuts - Benefits reduction Because of this, morale is pretty low. To be honest, it's not really worth it anymore, and I am planning to leave this sinking ship as soon as I can. The "leadership" is ridiculous.
