After applying, the recruiter reached out the same day to schedule a phone chat. He answered some questions and walked me through the interview process. He said that after the interview, he would reach out 24-48 hours later to discuss if I was moving on.
The interview itself was fine. I was asked for a review of my resume, a few questions on my experience, a couple of technical questions (general mechanics/statics), and then a couple of questions on vehicle body design.
The recruiter did not reach back out to me within the stated window. I emailed him five days after the interview to ask for updates. He said he had a meeting with the hiring manager later that day and would update me before EOD.
From that point, I was completely ghosted.
I had a sense from the interview that I wasn't an ideal fit for the role, which is fine. The hiring manager was very kind and laid-back during the interview. However, I am upset by the recruiter not keeping his promises and ghosting.
